International Symposium: Accountability and Power in the Law of International Organizations

Tohoku University's Centre for International Law and Policy (CILP) is organizing a two-day symposium in Tokyo that delves into accountability and power in international organizations. Teikyo University's Faculty of Law is co-sponsoring this international event.

Professor Jan Klabbers, a leading expert in international law based at the University of Helsinki, will deliver a presentation entitled "Locked in Their Own Universe: The Accountability of International Organizations Toward Third Parties." Other prominent scholars of international law will also be in attendance to discuss issues concerning international organizations, along with CILP Director Toshiya Ueki (Executive Vice President of Tohoku University), and specially appointed Associate Professor Norihito Samata.

Tohoku University's CILP was launched this year with the aim of promoting a better understanding and dissemination of international law, as well as assisting in the development of policy proposals.
