Job Description

The Institute of Multidisciplinary 雷速体育_中国足彩网￥在线直播 for Advanced Materials (IMRAM), Tohoku University, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of associate professor. The selected individual will engage in research activities focused on protein design in close collaboration with Distinguished Professor William DeGrado at Tohoku University and other members of IMRAM.

The ideal, qualified candidate should have broad interests in protein design, and a background in biophysics, organic chemistry, chemical biology or structural biology. Experience in protein design is desirable but not required.

The successful candidate will work on peptide and protein design, defined broadly to include one or more of the following topics: membrane transport, catalysis, materials, pharmaceuticals, and sensor design.

The position aims to establish an internationally recognized research hub for next-generation proteins through these collaborations. This recruitment is part of a project associated with the "University for International 雷速体育_中国足彩网￥在线直播 Excellence" initiative, for which Tohoku University was the first institution to be certified in Japan.
